The Dolly Zoom, also known as the Vertigo Effect, The Dolly Zoom, also known as the Vertigo Effect, is a cinematic technique where the camera moves forward or backward (using a dolly) while simultaneously zooming in the opposite direction — for example, dollying in while zooming out, or vice versa. This creates a striking visual effect where the subject remains the same size in the frame, but the background appears to stretch or compress unnaturally. The result is a feeling of disorientation, tension, or psychological unease. First popularized by Alfred Hitchcock in Vertigo (1958), the dolly zoom is often used to visually represent a moment of realization, fear, or inner turmoil.- 🎥 with Mavic 3Paros, Greece 2025
